What is the Law of Attraction anyway? 

Positive or negative thoughts produce energy. Energy is vibrations that attract more of what is thought of, either negative or positive. So a positive or happy thought will attract a similar experience into your life.  A negative or unhappy thought will bring a negative situation.  

Thoughts and words produce vibrations and can easily be turned into visual things that you can see, hear, taste and smell.

MONEY AND THE LAW OF ATTRACTION by Ester and Jerry Hicks
This book is a guide and teaching on the powerful Law of Attraction and Money. This goes through many other life topics as well as physical health and not having enough money. 
This will help guide you to many aspects of life's curves while showing you how to align yourself to receive the full benefits of the Law of Attraction. 
Well-being and physical well-being are connected and given examples of where you should be in life.  To receive what is already there for the taking is learned in this book. 
Through contrast you have learned what you don't want, therefore you know what you do want. The technique is repeated for clarity and understanding in most of Abraham-Hicks books.
Taking notes as you read it will help to clarify.
THE LAW OF ATTRACTION by Esther and Jerry Hicks. 
This book is the basis of all of Esther and Jerry Hick's books and one of their earlier ones.  I believe this is where you should start to gain your first understanding. 
Many of their teachings are repeated in other books but it is intended to so it gets embedded in our memory.  It is easy to understand, but you may want to read these books several times as I have. 
Each time you will gain a better understanding.


THE POWER OF NOW by Eckhart Tolle

I love this book.  It teaches you mindfulness and how this moment in time is the most important, not past or future.  It teaches meditation for enlightenment and awareness of your life.

Includes a meditation technique to help you focus on the now or present moment.
